Last Updated: August 24, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases made from The Chrystie Edit store. By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. Please read this document carefully before buying.
1. Introduction / About the Store
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all purchases made from The Chrystie Edit, processed through Lemon Squeezy located at https://thechrystieedit.lemonsqueezy.com (“Store”). The store is operated by Emilie Mann Enterprises, LLC d/b/a Travel by Chrystie. (“Seller”). By browsing, purchasing from, or otherwise using this Store, you (“Buyer”) agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
These Terms apply to all digital products offered in the Store, including travel guides, itineraries, and supplement, but do not replace, Lemon Squeezy’s own Terms of Use and Policies. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Lemon Squeezy’s platform policies, Lemon Squeezy’s policies govern with respect to platform conduct, and these Terms govern with respect to the specific products, content, and conditions described herein.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not complete a purchase from this Store.
2. Products
The Store offers digital downloads delivered electronically only, and no physical products. Digital products sold through this Store are original works authored and curated by the Seller. They may include destination overviews, itinerary suggestions, accommodation and dining recommendations, transportation tips, packing tips, cultural notes, budgeting guidance, and other travel-relevant content.
All guides are sold as informational reference materials only. They do not constitute a booking confirmation, reservation, visa sponsorship, travel insurance, or any form of professional travel advisory service specific to the Buyer’s individual circumstances. Inclusion of any third-party business, attraction, or service in a guide does not constitute an endorsement, affiliation, or guarantee of quality, availability, or price.
Products are complete as listed. No additional materials, updates, or supplements are included with a purchase unless expressly stated in the product listing.
3. Digital Downloads
3.1 Delivery
Digital products are delivered electronically and available for download upon completion of a successful payment through the Lemon Squeezy platform. Buyer will be able to download from the Lemon Squeezy platform following payment and will also receive a link via email.
3.2 File Formats
Digital guides are provided in the file format(s) specified in each product listing (typically PDF). Buyers are responsible for ensuring that their device, operating system, and software are compatible with the file format prior to purchase. The Seller does not provide technical support for third-party software used to open or view files.
3.3 Download Access
The Seller recommends that Buyers save downloaded files to a personal device or cloud storage immediately upon receipt. The Seller is not responsible for files that become unavailable due to platform policies, download link expiration, Buyer device failure, or Buyer error.
3.4 No Physical Shipment
Digital products will not be shipped physically. Buyers who require a printed version must either print the file independently or purchase a physical printed guide if one is separately listed in the Store.
3.5 Single-Use License
Purchase of a digital product grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal use license as described in Section 4. It does not transfer ownership of the file, the intellectual property contained therein, or any rights beyond those expressly stated.
4. Intellectual Property and Copyright
4.1 Ownership
All content contained in products sold through this Store, including but not limited to text, photographs, maps, illustrations, itineraries, design layouts, and any other creative or informational elements are original intellectual property owned by the Seller (“Seller Content”) and protected by United States copyright law, international copyright treaties, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
4.2 Personal Use License
Upon purchase, the Buyer is granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the purchased product for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This means the Buyer may view, print (for personal use), and reference the guide for the purpose of personal travel planning.
4.3 Prohibited Uses
Without the prior written permission of Seller, the Buyer may not:
-
Reproduce, copy, or duplicate the product or any portion thereof in any medium;
-
Distribute, share, upload, post, or transmit the product to any third party, whether for free or for compensation;
-
Sell, resell, license, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the product or any portion thereof;
-
Modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, or otherwise alter the product;
-
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, attributions, or proprietary markings;
-
Use the product or any of its contents in connection with any commercial business, service, publication, or product.
These restrictions apply regardless of the medium (print, digital, online, or otherwise) and regardless of whether the Buyer charges for access or provides access free of charge.
4.4 DMCA Notice
The Seller takes intellectual property rights seriously. If you believe that any content in this Store infringes upon your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please submit a written notice to the Seller at the contact information provided in Section 10. Your notice should include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
5. No Refunds — All Sales Final
5.1 Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products — which are immediately accessible upon download and cannot be “returned” — all sales of digital downloads are final. The Seller does not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations for digital products once a download link has been accessed, regardless of whether the Buyer has fully reviewed the content.
5.2 Exceptions for Technical Failure
The Seller will consider an exception to the no-refund policy only in the following limited circumstance: the file as delivered is corrupt, completely inaccessible, or materially different from what was described in the listing (e.g., blank file, wrong file delivered). In such a case, the Buyer must contact the Seller within 7 days of purchase with a description of the issue and, where possible, documentation (e.g., screenshot of the error). The Seller will, at its sole discretion, provide either a corrected file or a store credit. Refunds in this context are not guaranteed but will be considered in good faith.
5.3 Dissatisfaction with Content
Disagreement with the Seller’s opinions, preferences, itinerary choices, or writing style does not constitute grounds for a refund. Travel content is inherently subjective. Buyers are encouraged to review all available product photos, descriptions, and sample previews (where provided) before purchasing.
6. Accuracy Disclaimer
6.1 Informational Purposes Only
All travel information contained in the Store’s products, including but not limited to prices, hours of operation, admission fees, transportation costs, accommodation rates, restaurant information, visa and entry requirements, health and safety advisories, local laws and customs, and attraction availability, is provided for general informational and planning purposes only.
Travel conditions change frequently and sometimes without notice. The accuracy of any specific piece of information in a guide cannot be guaranteed at the time of the Buyer’s actual travel. Information that was accurate at the time of authorship or publication may have changed by the time the Buyer reads or uses it.
6.2 Buyer’s Responsibility to Verify
The Buyer assumes full responsibility for independently verifying all time-sensitive, safety-critical, or legally significant information prior to travel. This includes, without limitation: visa and entry requirements; vaccination and health requirements; currency exchange rates; business hours and closures; transportation schedules and pricing; and travel advisories issued by the U.S. Department of State or equivalent government authority.
6.3 No Professional Advisory Relationship
Nothing in any product sold through this Store constitutes legal advice, medical advice, financial advice, or professional travel advisory services tailored to the Buyer’s specific circumstances. Purchase of a travel guide does not establish any professional, advisory, or fiduciary relationship between the Buyer and the Seller.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 No Warranties
The products sold through this Store are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Seller makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. The Seller does not warrant that any specific outcome will result from use of the travel information provided.
7.2 Travel Decisions
The Seller is not liable for any decisions made by the Buyer, including travel bookings, reservations, expenditures, or changes to travel plans, based in whole or in part on information contained in a purchased guide. The Buyer assumes all risk associated with travel undertaken with reference to the Store’s products.
7.3 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Seller’s total liability to the Buyer for any claim arising out of or related to a purchase from this Store, whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Buyer for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
In no event shall the Seller be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, loss of travel expenditures, or any other indirect losses, even if the Seller has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
7.4 Force Majeure
The Seller shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond the Seller’s reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, platform outages, carrier failures, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
8. Privacy and Personal Data
8.1 Data Collected Through Lemon Squeezy
All purchases made through this Store are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy collects and manages personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at www.lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms . The Seller does not independently collect, store, or process the Buyer’s personal payment data.
8.2 Seller Use of Buyer Information
Personal information shared by the Buyer in the context of a transaction (such as a shipping address or a message to the Seller) is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the order and responding to Buyer inquiries.
Information provided to Seller to fulfill a purchase is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing purposes, or used for any purpose unrelated to fulfilling the transaction.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Good Faith Resolution
If a Buyer has a concern, complaint, or dispute related to a purchase from this Store, the Buyer is encouraged to first contact the Seller directly using the contact information in Section 10. The Seller is committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
9.2 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
9.3 Jurisdiction and Venue
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or any purchase from this Store that is not resolved through Lemon Squeezy’s dispute resolution process shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The Buyer and Seller each consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
9.4 Limitation on Claims
Any claim by the Buyer arising from a purchase must be brought within one (1) year of the date of the transaction giving rise to the claim. Claims not brought within this period are permanently waived and barred.
10. Contact Information
For questions, concerns, order issues, copyright inquiries, or any other matter related to this Store, please contact the Seller via email at kathleen@travelbychrystie.com.
The Seller endeavors to respond to all inquiries within 2–3 business days. Response times may be longer during holidays or high-volume periods. For time-sensitive matters, please indicate the urgency in your message.
11. Changes to Terms
The Seller reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting of the updated Terms to the Store’s webpage . The date of the most recent revision will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document.
It is the Buyer’s responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Store or completion of a purchase following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes. If the Buyer does not agree to the revised Terms, the Buyer should refrain from making further purchases from the Store.
